We visited the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ last spring, and I took a slew of pictures of the roses in the garden across from the entrance to the building. This one really appealed to me, with the little center petal curling over the way they do in this type of rose...and the color is not the usual pink or red too, so that added to the appeal. So yesterday, I painted this from my reference photo.
