I've been wanting to paint the beach all summer, and I finally found this canvas and thought, "Perfect!" This was painted from a reference photo I took last week at Island Beach State Park, and the New Jersey shore, one of the best beaches in New Jersey, which has lots of excellent beaches. This was a sunny day, with lovely, clear, warm water, which was very restless with lots of waves building, cresting, and crashing. I got a lot more photos to work from, so you'll be seeing more of these in the next few months!
