With the weather being unseasonably warm right now, I'm thinking Spring...and what could be more Spring than Daffodils??? Since our daffodils are still just leaves popping up (which they wouldn't normally do for several weeks yet!), I painted this from a reference photo I took a few Springs ago in our own front yard. The tree in the background is a weeping Cherry, with strands of cherry blossom dropping down...It's morning, so the light is coming from the side, casting a yellow shadow through the cup of the flower...
