Lilies at Dad's House
Oil on GessoBoard
12 x 12"
These lilies caught my attention each time I visited Dad that Spring, but I didn't have my camera to take a reference photo, or the day wasn't bright enough...finally I had the camera, and the day was bright. I cropped the image square, with the flowers reaching up to the light, and painted from that reference image. I do love the bright, happy colors, and the feel of reaching toward the light. I can understand why lilies are the Easter flower!
